As we remember the fallen on Memorial day, we should take our hats off also

to all the ones who came home from WWII (and other wars) with PTSD that never was recognized or treated. This not only affected the service member for the rest of their life, but also affected their families.

It's terrible they had to live with the consequences of the war over and over and over.

Thank goodness it's recognized and for the most part is treated now, except for the ones who fall through the cracks in the system.

PTSD is a war injury for these veterans.

They should not have to bear up under such a burden. They deserve to be well treated after what we put them through.
