In 2009-2010, Dems prevented a full on depression, passed a massive stimulus bill, re-started the housing recovery, passed 375 bills that GOPs blocked, and passed the first real reform of the health insurance system ever. Yet, pro lefties keep telling what they didn’t do.

We need to be supporting our candidates, working to register new voters, and planning our strategy to GOTV. Our current representatives are very limited in what they can do, and our best response is to give them a majority. The continued bashing just aids the republicans by depressing our enthusiasm and incentives to vote.

The Dems didn't do this or that, they're not angry: didn't, don't, aren't, not. All negative. But never any proof. Who do people think they are and how do they know these things? Are they conditioned to be cynical? Is it simple ignorance, repeating what they've heard without thinking to check if it's correct?

It's not possible that those who are slamming Democrats for not doing anything pay no attention to media at all. They are parroting talking points but don't seem to care about how wrong they are.

9. We need louder and better PR!

We always have been the rational and practical side of govt but never get many "Thank yous" in return. Why not shout from the rooftops what we have done in the past. We not only clean up the GOP messes every time we get elected but we also never get credit for it. It is frustrating! Are we too modest and not self congratulating? Do we lack the GOP boisterous swagger and ego?

16. Yes! I agree! We are on the right side of things and we have great politicians on our side,

but what we don't seem to understand is that politics is a PR game and we seriously need some better PR and messaging. It is not anti-Democrat to suggest that we need to step up our game. Insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results. We need to understand who we are fighting against and we need to beat them at their own game.

I had my posts hidden in another thread for suggesting such a thing, but I don't think it is bashing Dems to suggest that we have some serious remodeling to do. I am just so frustrated by our side's lack of outrage. We should be on fire!

Every time I've gone to hear a Democratic officeholder, I love what I hear. Alas, I never hear it on the news. What leftist viewpoints get on the news is usually "You're Not Helping" rhetoric, promoted specifically (I suspect), as a way to sew disunity among Democrats and trivialize and discount liberal issues.
