Is Trump Blackmailing The Repug Party?.....

I've posted this many times here on DU and will post it again now. I believe that Trump is blackmailing the Repug Party. He is telling them if he goes down he will purposely take the Party down with him.

He will tell the world that the Repug Party was in on this whole Russia thing with him - whether they were or they weren't.

Trump is prepared to lie to take them down and create a scenario that will accomplish that.

The Repugs haven't learned yet - Trump is tainting the Party and though they
continue to circle the wagons around him and protect him.

When Trump goes he will take down the Party with him. I believe this is why so many Repugs are retiring or not running for office again going forward. They don't want to be associated with how Trump takes the Party down. They'd rather sit it out and watch the fireworks than be embroiled in the controversy.

That's my theory. I haven't really heard anyone else express a similar view. I curious as to your reaction to my theory.

1. You are correct, but I don't think he actually has to say it. They know his followers will desert

the party just out of vengeance.

If he told that explicitly to a bunch of GOPers, a few would leak it. They just know that trump going down, will hurt the party for some time.

No. They're not itching to impeach him and anger the same far-right base that they need to vote for them in the next primary.

Mitch McConnell has admitted his push this round is to get as many conservative judges elected as possible. He knows the vote is fucked.. When Trump spoils the water to the point that conservative judges aren't being elected, I think they will bail on him and impeach..
They need him so they can use him. If he is no longer of use, he's gone...

9. I do believe that the REPUKES are afraid of drumpf because they know that he is evil

10. imo Trump is the Republican Party.

He is the embodiment of their thoughts and policies of the last 4 decades at least. Legislators are retiring because their minority-of-the-electorate base is with him and they are heading for the lifeboats--private sector $$$--in front of the rush.

Don't let the Nicole Wallaces and Steve Schmidts fool you into thinking that tRump is some sort of out-of-right-field aberration. Their only problem with him is his lack of discipline and that he says out loud what their party believes.

The Russians broke into the DNC and the RNC. They used the DNC info publicly. They use the RNC info to blackmail Republicans with kompromat. They've got stuff on virtually every Repub office holder.

Many Repubes have just simply "retired" as they know the hammer is coming down and they will lose. The others haver gerrymandered themselves into safe districts...which of course, their problem is, they gerrymandered themselves into safe districts. Dump wasn't telling a lie...on this occasion, that he could shoot somebody in public and still be elected. These fruit loops would justify him taking a baby straight from the womb after birth and go Sparta on it. So they follow goose step.

Even if they lose the House and Senate, they don't care, they are career politicians and losing means unemployment. I know this is unpopular here, but, maybe there should be term limits. Not the short term like Repubes want, but long term. Something along the lines of 18 years in the Senate and 20 years in the House. Plenty of time to make a career or serve your constituents if its your passion, but if you are in your last term, you don't answer to anyone and just do the right thing.
