Sometime in 1974, truck driver Henry Buster Battle was ticketed for failing to maintain his brakes in good condition. In June 1974, he pled no contest on an improper equipment ticket and was fined $50 plus costs. In September they hauled him back into court for the actual crime he committed: killing three people in the accident that proved his brakes didn't work. He claimed double jeopardy because he'd already paid a fine for this accident. The court told him it didn't work that way.

(6,373 posts)Bush made awful decisions, but at least he can say he made them thinking he was making the right decision at the time.
Trump on the other hand, is making awful decisions solely because he's an asshole. He knows they're bad decisions, but makes them anyway.
