MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga - A young boy's act of kindness in Georgia is inspiring people all over the country.

Riley Duncan took the video showing the 8-year-old helping an older woman up the stairs.

Duncan said he didn't know the story when he pulled out his camera, but he saw the boy stop traffic, hop out of his car and help the woman -- and he thought it was a moment that deserved to be shared.

He later learned the boy's name -- Maurice Adams Jr.

Maurice was in the car with his mom and sister leaving high school graduation when they saw the woman crossing the road.

I don't have an issue with the tweet or your post. But it doesn't seem like such a big deal that a kid helped an old lady up the stairs. Seems pretty ordinary to me.

i dont find it all that ordinary in this day and age, and we can all use a little good news.

was left to wander into the street to stop traffic and help this older person. The phrase "child abuse' springs to mind.

Instead of highlighting mistakes people make or capturing people at their worst moments, sending them viral and publicly shaming them.... what if random acts of kindness, accomplishments and volunteerism dominated the local news?

Kindness breeds kindness.

I love the story. Thanks to the OP for posting.

Perhaps it (the video) made social media and a reporter figured out the backstory?

Why isn't this splashed all over the headlines? It would be a gift to our society to see some heartwarming acts of kindness. All we get right now is Roseanne, Roseanne and more Roseanne and then her sidekick, DJT. Both are idiots and yet they get so much publicity. I am sick of the way the media will overlook simple kindness!!

That's what is so hurtful to our society and our co-citizens, when people like Roseanne & others try to dehumanize some people. Telling them in so many little ways that they are unworthy, "less than."

This young man did a very kind thing. I don't think many youngsters like to be around old people. But this young man...brings a lump to my throat.

Don't we all want the best for him and other young people? To grow up here with pride & dignity, and to have a happy life?

Getting off soapbox, now.
