So did this slip by DU entirely? Fenton/Homes

"Fenton is also listed as a member of the faculty at the medical school's Schizophrenia Research Center and has received grants to study the effects of various drugs on schizophrenics."

Translation, the university used students as lab rats for clinical trials.

Hmmm, what could co wrong?

Again I want to emphasize the fact that I am NOT anti medication.

However, I AM strongly against using foster children, and other children in the poorest of poor countries,
ANY person of limited health care cost means, as LAB rats.

The FIRST thing I tell my doctors when they begin writing scripts is:
"I will not take any drug that has not been on the market for less than five years-
preferably ten, without high incident of ADR reports or lawsuits.

WHO knows what clinical drug trial Holmes may have been subjected to
under his pharma-cartel paid university doctor.

Flame away.

in the case of mentally ill patients. There are very strict laws with regard to children.

but what about students, who are considered young adults?

No preventative legislation on testing "clinical trial" use in college students that I know of.

Perhaps we could figure out WHO could investigate a FOIA to find out which companies were giving her grants,
and for which studies of new drugs for people like Holmes.

What was he taking?
Was it an experimental/clinical trail drug?

I want to know.
As a person who experienced an ADR, I think more information is needed in the case, as in
FOLLOW THE MONEY.

He's 24 or 25, so he wasn't even close.

But you're asking good questions about any drugs he may have been on. The other thing that could happen in a study is that someone is given a placebo rather than an effective drug.

I don't. You don't, either. You are speculating.

Working with facts in stories like this is far superior than working with speculation, it seems to me.

If, in fact, Holmes was part of some drug trial, I imagine that information will come out. Your speculation adds nothing to the discussion, frankly.

As a final note, in case you think I don't understand your post, the World Health Organization does NOT regulate drug trials in the United States. The FDA does.
