in an IRA, how the hell you do that when you are limited to a few thousand a year contribution?

Bain Capital took over some failing companies, and Romney squirreled a lot shares away in his IRA when the stock was almost worthless. After the company recovered, the shares exploded in value.

That seems reasonable and may not have broken any laws. It does sort of stretch the spirit of tax-free retirement savings, though.
