Greed was different in the Middle Ages.

I thought this was an interesting article. What is acceptable behavior on Wall Street now, might very well get you killed in Medieval Europe. I also think that this is article is interesting in that since it shows that greed hasn't always been encouraged, then maybe a future society will have even more negative attitude toward greed. I thought it might be an interesting read and open us up to a discussion on how different societies view money and wealth.

Or in the case of one guy in Midieval or late Midieval England whose name I cannot remember, he just killed peasants because he felt they were useless eaters. Someone on the DU had a post about him, but damn if I can find it now...
