Poll: 44 Percent Of Voters View Romney “Less Ready” To Be President After Overseas Trip

Poll: 44 Percent Of Voters View Romney “Less Ready” To Be President After Overseas Trip

A new poll from Democratic-leaning firm Public Policy Polling and sponsored by Daily Kos and the SEIU shows a plurality of Americans view presumptive Presidential nominee Mitt Romney as “less ready” to be president after his trip abroad. Romney was hampered by gaffes during his time abroad, and even caught the ire of British conservative politicians after he criticised London’s readiness to hold the Olympics.

Forty-four percent of registered voters surveyed said they viewed Romney as “less ready” to be president after the trip, while 18 percent said he was more ready and 36 percent said it made no difference. Among indpendent voters, 42 percent said he was less ready, 19 percent more ready, and 37 said it didn’t matter.
