Today I noticed something I had not realized before...
While I was driving to my therapy appointment I saw several squad cars on both sides of the road. I wasn't sure why they were there so I called Paul (my better half) and mentioned it to him. He explained to me that they were there due to the shooting at the Sikh temple and would likely be there for a few more days.
While on the way home I passed the same spot and there I noticed the temple. I had never really seen it before, despite the fact that I passed it a couple times a week.
I spoke with my mom about it and she told me of a lady in her neighborhood who would no longer go to a theater because of the shootings in Aurora. She wondered if she would now stop going to a church.
I told her, "Mom, if she refuses to get up and do something then they already beat her."
Mom said, "I know, but try getting them to understand it."
