I think when they hear that some institution has been privatized, they think that the taxpayers no longer pay for it.

I believe there are a huge number of people who actually think this.

That privatizing government work is invariably more expensive? Granted, the pensions are less in a privatized system, but the profits always cost more in the long run. Look at our military for example A.

...even though it's expected to do the same thing with a profit instead of at cost from the same fund.

We need to start saying, "Eliminate the middle man".

Private prisons is just a Wall Street profit shell game, and don’t forget the lobbyist in AZ that support that crazy witch governor, the Game is rigged and the poor and middle class are now viewed and profits. The more people I can imprison the more money I make “isn’t that just grand?”

the jails they run (on the taxpayer dime) must maintain a certain occupancy rate.

Then those damn operating costs keep going up you know....gotta charge more. how much does CCA CEO make over say, a jail administrator on the Taxpayer teat?

without the profit taking, as well as reliable. What, the military isn't reliable? Say that to your watercooler opponents. They can't beat that.

Yes, Arizona Legislators and Voters, enjoy being robbed by the private sector because you have been fooled into thinking government is Satan by soulless profiteers--meanwhile you are demonizing the Real America into a 3rd world country.

Morons.
