Joe Scar was yelling about Mitt Romney on Morning Joe today: that's a good sign!

He was in full panic level decibel range for about 15 minutes. Mitt should, he yelled, make this campaign about the three Ms: money, Mormonism, Massachusetts.

Money: he made a lot of it! That's a good thing!

Mormonism: His religion is a good thing! He should talk about it!

Massachusetts: He worked across the aisle with Democrats in the MA state lege! That's a good thing!

Wow, this was at 6 am here on the East Coast. I'm just starting my first cup of coffee and this guy is already cranked to Bonkers level!

The panel just sat there while Joe ranted on.

A few minutes later Sam Stein put a nail in Joe's tire about how silly Joe's Massachusetts argument sounded and why...

What's Joe's slogan again? Oh yeah: "Keep calm and carry one."

Uh-huh...

yes, Joe is a conservative blowhard, but he also does trash the Republican Party when needed. And many of the guest do make one think....something many on the fringes frown on.

2. How is watching and listening to that murdering scumbag any different than listening to Rush?

For the life of me I can not understand why people watch that assclown. Give him ratings and he will stay on the air.

3. Because he is a reflection of what is happening to the Republican Party.

Scum is not Limbaugh. He has a more sophisticated, NYT approving audience and Rush is considered crude and downscale.

But my guess (and I fervently hope I am right) is that Scum's show is going down. Chris Hayes show, now temporarily off the air due to the Olympics, has taken a toll on Scum's popularity with the cognoscenti. When Hayes show is back in operation, he will once again shine and Scum will look old, out of date and hopelessly un-hip.

Youth must be served, as the saying goes...

Chris has a younger vibe, younger guests and more WOMEN, which Scar just can't bring himself to allow!

The 20 and 30ish, hip audience is crazy about Chris and the NYT actually picked up that vibe and did a little story on it a couple of months ago.

Scar is literally watching the handwriting on the wall for him. His panel members looked like they were in a catatonic state, listening to a rant that is SO OLD that they have all heard it a million times.

I think some of his younger "regulars" are looking for a way to jump ship on this show. I hope I am right and he will go down by the end of 2012...

It will happen to you, too, and you will not go off to die peacefully either.

That said, I don't particularly care for either one of these guys.

Why not a woman? I'd be happy to watch Mika, frankly. And her dad is interesting, even if he has blown a few. I always manage to watch on the tube or the net when he's on. Not bad for a guy who actually is old.

8. I am old, too (maybe older than you)! And I am a strong feminist.

Mika is good when she is by herself but she allows herself to be pushed around when Joe's there. When he's not, she has lots of women on. But so does Chris Hayes. the panels for his shows practically aways have an even number of women and men. Also, here, I should mention Melissa Harris-Perry who follows Chris on Sat. and Sun. She has a good mix on, too!

Oh, and yes, I do like to see Dr. Zbig when he's on. Joe watches his mouth when he's on cuz he's been smacked down hard by Dr. Zbig (famously calling Joe "stunningly superficial...I'm almost embarrassed for you!&quot . That must've stung Joe!

Best moment on the show.

I still just don't see the big deal about Chris Hayes, though. Melissa is better.

Also, watching him be in a pissy mood when the news is not going his way and everyone else is having a great day.

But he's offered no other option for the GOP candidacy, except, perhaps, himself.

Listening to his illogical blathering gives you some sense of what the bigots say to each other when rational people aren't around to hear them.

They're all taking credit for every dog dropping on the sidewalk, because they're empty media whores, just like their patron saint, Mittens.
