Because it would upset Romney, and inspire anguish in the entire military-industrial complex/ GOP elite.

For Number 2, I'd prefer Ms Bachman, as it would render the GOP unelectable.

(EDIT: are we not talking about the GOP thing? In that case sorry for the confusion)

whether the other side is still our side?

(Don't be angry, DU-ers. It's meant as a joke. And yes, I know some of you find it way too real to be funny. And yes, I know some of you wonder how I even dare to raise that question/joke in the first place.)

If I want the GOP to pick a rational, thinking candidate? Huntsman.
If I want the GOP to pick a possible game changer? Paul.
If I want the GOP to pick their craziest candidate sure to lose? Very tough call between Perry, Bachman and Santorum.
If I want to sleep through the election? Romney.

I would fear the crazy candidates, though. The Democrats are too good at snatching defeat from the jaws of victory to risk it.

but I think Santorum is going to win it. Anyone but Romney is good, it would be great if he finished 3rd.

Gingrich, Santorum, Paul, Romney, Bachman and Perry are all certifiably insane, incredibly stupid and morally reprehensible.

Huntsman is awful but in comparison he looks like a decent candidate. Of course, he won't get the nomination.

This election is going to be ridiculous no matter who becomes the candidate.
