Bryan Fischer: "An Underground Railroad to deliver innocent children from same-sex households."

We're talking kidnapping here, folks! Here it is, your moment of Zen...

http://thinkprogress.org/lgbt/2012/08/08/655951/bryan-fischer-children-of-same-sex-couples-must-be-saved-through-underground-railroad-kidnapping/

The American Family Association’s Bryan Fischer has sunk to a new, disturbing low with his anti-gay statements. In two separate tweets last night, he called for an “Underground Railroad to deliver innocent children from same-sex households.” In one tweet he was referring to the sad story of Lisa Miller, who, after declaring herself ex-gay, kidnapped her daughter away to Central America to prevent her former partner from having any custody. (She is still being tracked by federal agents as a fugitive of the law.)...

And yet, Bryan Fischer believes it to be the perfect example of why the children of same-sex parents should be kidnapped away for their protection — that they are the equivalent of slaves who need to be rescued. This is incredibly dangerous rhetoric that has the potential to do great harm. How much destruction could self-declared “Harriet Tubmans” do to same-sex families, motivated by Fischer’s claims? More than ever, the “culture war” is a direct attack on the lives of LGBT and their families.

How can "let's kidnap other people's children" be the right answer for ANYTHING?

It's dangerous and stupid and viciously bigoted. It's also a promulgation of hatred, and there are times I'm glad that hate speech is banned here in Canada.

I highly doubt that he's part of mainstream conservative circles, even given today's environment. There are enough genuine threats by the right without giving freaks like him the light of day.

Trust me, I know of his history - he began in Idaho and left when his crap became too much even for the wingers here. He's less than a slug, just leave the rock in its place.

Their disgusting policies and violent rhetoric spewing from the likes of Bryan Fischer and James Dobson have done far more to hurt families than they have to help them?

And more importantly - why hasn't the SPLC labeled these fuckers as a hate group yet? This is a new low even for the AFA.

See, nobody actually kidnapped any of the slaves who used the Underground Railroad. Kidnapping is what got them into the situation in the first place.

The article specifically mentions kidnapping. Now, this guy wants to aid and abet. That's still kidnapping.

BURLINGTON, Vt. (AP) — A Virginia pastor worked with a number of other people to help a woman flee the United States with her daughter rather than share custody of the girl with the mother’s former lesbian partner, federal prosecutors said Wednesday.

The trial of Kenneth Miller of Stuarts Draft, Va., 46, opened in U.S. District Court in Burlington. In his opening statement, Miller’s lawyer said he will prove his client believed Lisa Miller had full custody of daughter Isabella.

‘‘Kenneth Miller thought that she was the full legal guardian,’’ defense lawyer Joshua Autry said.

Miller, a Mennonite pastor, is charged with aiding and abetting in international kidnapping.

And if you cross state lines, the FBI will be on your ass like white on rice. Maybe a conspiracy to commit kidnapping charge will succeed in getting this nauseating piece of human sewage a long vacation at the happy old Crowbar Hilton.
