General Discussion
Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsYou know, DU is such a great community!
In addition to all the political stuff, there are a myriad of groups to help with just about any issue/question that might arise. People are always willing to help, educate, offer support -- it's amazing and rare, I think.
I've learned so much from my fellow DUers and made some real friends along the way. Again, amazing.
I know we all know that, but it just hit me extra strong when I glanced at the groups I joined.
To DU!

(63,903 posts)I don't know what I'd do without DU. I feel like it is my "tribe."
Been here since October 2004. It saved my sanity (along with Stephanie Miller and her mooks) in the dark days following Kerry's defeat. The winter/spring of 2005 was tough to get thru and I really don't know how I would have done it had it not been for DU and Steph. I remember how we all had to cheer each other up with jokes about W. Then came the primaries in 07 and we had all those fights over Hillary. Even tho some people got upset and had to leave, I never felt that way. I voted for her in my CT primary and then for Obama in the general and it all worked out.
Truly, DU has been a big help in our lives as progressives...
