IF he makes it past the convention to debates with President Obama, everything we've been witnessing on the campaign trail will be magnified. His behavior towards others he considers irrelevant, his entitlement attitude, lack of empathy, and his permanent foot-in-mouth.
It will be a joy to see and people will be paying attention. Especially those independent and swing voters. Can't wait!

(35,015 posts)Even with one of those, will Romney listen and follow orders? He doesn't seem to be very good at that order following thing.

(20,600 posts)I'm not sure Romney will be quite as bad as you think. He seemed to be pretty good in a couple debates I saw before. But Obama is excellent, and it should be entertaining to watch them. I predict some fireworks could happen!

(15,381 posts)And just analyzing Romney as the rich prick that he is, it's obvious to see that from that combined upbringing, he's not used to being questioned (by the little people of course) or told that he's wrong. And I don't think it's just an attitude of, "I do make mistakes, but I've got the money, and I can use it to keep any heat off," but rather a belief in some sort of divine intervention on his part that he is infallible. I think if you combine that and not much really go on in the gray matter, he really has a hard time understanding why people aren't just accepting everything he's saying as Gospel truth and bowing down before him. The nervous laughter is his not being used to being called out on all his obvious lies and not knowing how to handle it, but if you look in his eyes, there's a hint of annoyance there. I think he's getting more and more skin-thinned, and Obama has been pretty masterful in boxing him in. If Obama can do that to Romney during a debate, I think we might see a temper tantrum.
