by Billionaires for Wealthcare
One of the worst days of the Romney campaign shows no end in sight, as wingnuts are now calling for a financial boycott of his campaign and the upcoming Tampa convention.
Earlier this morning the Romney campaign committed the unconscionable sin of saying government should ensure the availability of health coverage for all human beings. It ignited a firestorm on the right that is still burning intensely at this late hour.
For decades this was an uncontroversial position. It was embraced by various conservative think tanks and politicians, from Nixon to Gingrich to Romney. But once Democrat passed such a law, they immediately demonized their long standing position in order to manufacture fear, uncertainly, and doubt among low information and tribal voters. They needed to gin up an issue and hate, even if that meant scuttling and denouncing their own position in process.
About an hour ago, the fire climbed and reached a new height as Ann Coulter went on Fixxed News and called on their zombie viewers and the moneyed interests to stop contributing to the Romney campaign and to boycott the convention at the end of the month if Romney doesn't repudiate the principle of universal health care and fire their spokesperson.
Anyone who donates to Mitt Romney, and I mean the big donors, ought to say if Andrea Saul isnt fired and off the campaign tomorrow, they are not giving another dime, because it is not worth fighting for this man if this is the kind of spokesman he has.
She continued:
THERES NO POINT IN GOING TO THE CONVENTION AND PUSHING FOR THIS MAN IF HES EMPLOYING MORONS LIKE THIS. THIS AD IS THE TURNING POINT AND SHE HAS NEARLY SNATCHED VICTORY FROM THE JAWS OF DEFEAT! (SIC) (screaming and convoluted logic original).

This firestorm is showing no sign of abating and is now threatening to engulf the candidate, himself, only three weeks before his coronation.
Luckily, I bought 10,000 shares of popcorn at the beginning of the campaign season.

(115,615 posts)like a banshee on meth was a joy to behold. And Limpballs was reduced to a sputtering heap of blubber - imagine Jabba the Hutt having apoplexy. It's only a matter of time before another parody of Downfall hits the Intertubes ("Hitler finds out that a Romney spokesperson said something nice about universal health care" . Except watching Coulter and Limpballs fly into incoherent rage was way funnier.

(195 posts)I'm seeing the Romney campaign parody of the ending in "Der Untergang" in my mind and I can't stop giggling.
I'll have to remember the "banshee on meth" comment, too. Maybe slip that into a conversation with my Fox Fraudcasting-crippled neighbor.

(39,351 posts)and the fact that he took steps that would save lives. Not only is he not allowed to talk about it, he's supposed to repudiate it as a national solution. That's the deal.
That's how fucked up they are. The Let 'em Die Party.
