Don't get me wrong, I LOVE the spine our party seems to have recently found.
But it does make me wonder if it's simply the men and women we have on our side being who the are, or if they're all attacking the right with a little more vigor and vitriol than normal due to having a monetary "arm" tied behind their backs. The right has raised MILLIONS more than the left, which could of course still be a factor in this election.
Not that this is the first time us Dems have shown signs of life, but in general it just seems we're acting a little more "take no prisoners" than usual.

(14,177 posts)I also think it's because of OWS as well. The general tone on the left seems to have moved farther to the left since the protests started. I am hearing OWS language in the campaign now. I think it is only a matter of time before we start twinkling up in agreement.

(2,335 posts)POTUS is anything but dumb
He probably had all kinds of advice offered, including Terry McCauliff type advice and POTUS said, "fuck it....balls to wall. We have no choice."
So yes, the money advantage forced his hand to some extent, but the solution had always been there plain as day.
Though one thing must happen, whether we take back the hosue or not. POTUS must demand that Reid get rid of/reform the filibuster. That is the key to assuring no GOP POTUS in 2016 and assures DEM house in 2014 because it will be plain as day that the GOP is the real problem. You and I see it. But many low info voters do not. Filibuster reform places it on a platter for them.

And that's before we start talking about Romney in particular...
