(3,818 posts)As an aside though, I always loved her first name, Bernice. Years ago I read an F. Scott Fitzgerald story called "Bernice Bobs Her Hair", which was the first time I heard that name. It's a nice little story if you've never read it. (((HUGS)))

(205,237 posts)It's wonderful that you're keeping in touch here while you're going through this. I lost my mother last September, an accident, and I had trouble thinking straight, still do sometimes. And it's so important that your family turned out for this. It was not only so good to see folks that I hadn't seen in so long, but I saw it as a tribute to my mother. My best to you and your family as you grieve for and honor your mother...
