"In an election year filled with secret campaign money, the Scotts Miracle-Gro Company has made the unlikely choice to go public with a big political donation.
The Ohio-based company, familiar as the producer of a ubiquitous plant fertilizer, is now a political player, donating $200,000 in June to the Restore Our Future super PAC supporting Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney."

Well, another company just lost my business. I go through 2-3 big containers of this stuff a year. (lots houseplants and flowerbeds...I don't use it on food plants).
I've been telling myself to give it up for an organic product (but that fish stuff stinks so bad!!) so I guess I finally have to switch.
(no papa johns, no miracle grow, no johnsonville sausages, no koch brothers toilet paper...sigh..the list gets bigger and bigger)

(10,167 posts)I love miracle grow, but not that much. A friend suggested I switch to Ace brand, which I will (unless they're assholes too). By the way, Miracle Grow moisture control potting soil sucks, so dumping that will be easy.

(2 posts)They for years added poison to their wild bird seed to protect their profits from rodents in their holding bins thinking the beautiful birds would never talk and people would not figure it out. ...they were wrong and I would NEVER buy ANYTHING from a company such as this ...talk about corporate greed !
