Isn't this a fireable offense at many companies? The "entertainment" correspondent was just on giving her report on TV news anchor's salaries. Apparently Anderson Cooper makes $11 million dollars! That's nearly $250,000 per viewer! I didn't hear all the other salaries they mentioned, but it ended with the two second-string talking heads saying "Well, oh, here we are on the list...$3.85 and hour and a box of paper clips!" Kind of funny, but at most companies this kind of salary talk is verboten.

(19,339 posts)Also, companies discourage talk about compensation among non-union rank and file so the peons don't figure out that the boss plays favorites and that everyone is doing the same work for different amounts.
