Since 7/22 rMoney is in the low 40s in 4 DIFFERENT NATIONAL POLLS! Does anyone

...see any information in the polling that would suggest that he's higher in rating?

Maybe under-sampling or dem\gop skewed polling?

The national polls are starting to look like the swing state polls and it's fairly early for them to do so....

RCP polls - http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/2012/president/us/general_election_romney_vs_obama-1171.html

P.S. The fight isn't over....I do expect the GOP and it's minions to bail on rMoney if he gets into the high 30s during end of Sept mid October and pivot hard towards keeping congressional seats..

Thx in advance for your input

if polling stays high like this for Obama it will make election theft so much more difficult NightWatcher Aug 2012 #1

If going into the general it is like a 10-12 or 15 point lead and the election is stolen there will be a lot of head scratching, esp if exit polls dont even have Rmoney within 6-8 of Obama.

but we still need to GOTV and watch the sneaky little bastards

...even if it's someone as yawn-worthy as Portman or Palenty, it'll garner a few points.

Candidates wait as long as possible to reveal the vice presidential candidate because the bump lasts only as long as the public's attention on a new shiny object, and we know how fleeting that is.

It's no time to take our foot off the gas.

again, imho it will be short lived.

I'll never forget how scared I was in 08 when McCain got his Palin/convention bounce. It was terrifying as we were just learning all the shit about Palin but it hadn't sunk in at the national level. I was horrified the country would elect another Reagan or Bush the younger, although Palin was a degree or two worse than those two.
