A revolution is coming.

"A revolution is coming — a revolution which will be peaceful if we are wise enough; compassionate if we care enough; successful if we are fortunate enough — But a revolution which is coming whether we will it or not. We can affect its character; we cannot alter its inevitability."
-Robert F. Kennedy

care about people are rare, or if we are seeing too many of the worst of us rising to the top echelons of power and influence?

To me, experience has a structure as do political institutions and corporations. The structures are based on money, power and control. How many people who have an innate care for other people are able to traverse the structure of that playing field intact if the nature of the game itself inherently requires the opposite?

The context is often easy to miss because we are encourage to focus primarily on personalities playing the game and, until recently, were less aware of the game board and the established rules that now prove to be in the best interests of the players.

It didn't happen 40-odd years ago when he said that, and it isn't going to happen today. Or tomorrow. Or a year from today. The populace is too dumbed down and fearful to revolt over anything. There may be a coup, military or otherwise. That wouldn't surprise me at all. But a popular revolution, torches and pitchforks? Never.

that run the country. They knew he was right, they knew his brother was right and they knew that if they let JFK, RFK and MLK speak to the multitudes, there was revolution on the horizon.

Since then, look at what we've been given as leaders.

It's enough to sicken a person.
