Not sure why people pick Saturday and Biden was a strong choice. I remember it was a Saturday else I would have been at work and not with the group that went to the Airport in New Castle DE to wish Biden well as he flew out to Chicago where he was to be announced as Obama's VP pick.
I know the scuttle was whether or not Biden would show up to teach the law class he teaches at Wideners on Saturday (he did not).

(33,497 posts)then the Sunday papers which are the most read of the week and the Sunday morning news shows will be all about your selection. I'm only surprised he didn't wait until after the Olympics, but I kind of figured when he had this four day bus tour scheduled that something might be afoot.

That Friday night, I was out with my girlfriend (now ex, that witch!) and was constantly checking my phone because I'm a gucking feek. Anyway, I got home late, turned on MSNBC and saw the BREAKING NEWS banner. About an hour later, I finally got the text.

Then that Saturday, Obama introduced Biden.
