I was out of the house all day Saturday, not near a radio or TV, so I had to "learn" about Ryan being picked as Mitten's running mate much later on.
Was there any mention on what Paulie was planning on doing with his house seat? Is he going to give that up to run or do a Lieberman and run for his current office at the same time? I always thought that hurt the democrats - not fatally - but to have your running mate keep a "just in case" option in the back pocket always seems like a sign of not too much confidence.

(22,308 posts)He has a better chance of holding the seat than some no name (R). I am not sure how WI picks a replacement, but if the impossible happens and Ryand were to win both I am fairly certain his seat would go to another (R).
