Boston Globe Reporter - Ryan just referred to Rmoney as "when he was Governor of Virginia"

@mviser Oops. Paul Ryan, with Romney to his right: "This is a man who, when he was governor of Virginia…"

This at a campaign event in North Carolina today.

Nothing subliminal about that.

Being governor of Massachusetts is a big problem for the average North Carolina voter. Massachusetts anything is a big problem. I think it's because of Ted Kennedy, but for some reason "Massachusetts" stands for "every Yankee who ever burned down your ancestors' home and wrecked their fields and left your family starving and now comes down here with their carpet bags and big mouths telling everybody what to do."

Being from Massachusetts was a big problem for Kerry, and it will be a big problem for Romney. So I'm not surprised that the Richie Rich ticket is now telling everybody in the south that Romney was actually governor of Virginia.

Trying to reframe him as just "a guy" as opposed to the clueless tax wonk who would cut all social contract spending to give more money to the Rmoneys of the world.

Tangentially related, isn't Romney now a California citizen? I think that's another thing that won't get mentioned... I've heard not one peep about where he's "based." (not that people like him are actually based anywhere)

I think almost all of us North Carolinians (even the teabaggers at this event) know that Rmoney was never Governor of Virginia--- our fine neighbor state to the north. If it was deliberate, I don't think many NC GOP'ers would even buy it. With his statement, Ryan insulted Virginians, too.

This is the best campaigning the Republicans can buy for ONE BILLION dollars? Why, if I were Charles or David Koch or Sheldon Adelson, I would demand a refund. Gimme my money back, Romney!
