YOU, yes YOU, I am talking to YOU, the guy over there who thinks NOT voting for ANY democrat might

actually be a possibility.

Do you know which party decides not only what happens, becomes law, etc, but decides EVEN If something is VOTED ON AT ALL?

Do you?

waiting

OK , i will tell you, the party with ONE, let me repeat that, the party with ONE MORE SEAT than the other.

So even if that ONE seat is filled by a no good son of a bitch who rarely votes with us/his or her own party, they are still TEN MILLION TIMES better than the con because of this FUCKING MATH THING, get it?

Get it?

Can someone here who is better at this than me explain to people what being CHAIRPERSONS of committes means? Why there are 11 repubs on this judicial committee and only 10 democrats which is why if the GOP wants to confirm DONALD DUCK to the Supreme Court, they can and we cant do ANYTHING about it - NOTHING. Someone HELP ME PLEASE!

4. It's a flaw in any voting system

The group that has 50% +1 votes gets 100% of the power.

5. I don't waste my time arguing with them...

I go for the lazy, the uninvolved, the cliffhangers, and anyone else I have a halfway decent chance of getting out to vote.

To some people, politics is a religion-- common sense and practical matters be damned, just keep preaching the doctrine that makes you feel superior.

6. Dems control the legislative agenda if there are simply more D's than Rs.

That simple majority, which can be just 51 out of 100 seats, allows the most progressive, most liberal Democrats to be in charge of the Senate Committees that determine the shape of proposed laws and which ones get a full hearing.

And guess what? That process works whether the Ds in the majority are hardcore liberals, or DINOs, or corporate Dems, or "establishment" Dems. As long as they sit in the Senate with a D next to their name, that "D" counts toward the majority that puts Democratic leaders into the chairmanships of the Committees.

So even if you're stuck with some kind of Republican-Lite Democrat on your ballot, YOU VOTE FOR THEM, if for no other reason than that the more liberal Senators that others of us may be blessed with will need a Dem majority in order to their jobs and help move the country in the right direction! (Also, always vote for whatever Dem is on your ballot just to counteract a vote received by their Republican opponent. It really is true that not voting for the Democrat is allowing one more vote to count for the Republican.) in short, to get control in Congress, we simply need more Democratic butts in the seats, no matter what kind. Period.

By the way, NOT voting doesn't send some sort of signal to the Democratic Party that they need to run candidates more to your liking, but it DOES send a signal to the GOP that their divide-and-conquer strategies are working.n

Vote state, local, and Federal; vote every time; and vote Democrat!
