http://www.cnbc.com/id/48647349Paul Ryan really has two plans: his 2010 "Roadmap for Americas Future" and the budget he put forward in the House. Both plans call for a top tax rate of 25 percent, down from the current 35 percent.
Under the Roadmap, people making between $200,000 and $500,000 annually would get an average tax cut of $5,514 in 2015. People making $500,000 to $1 million would get an average tax cut of $50,859. People making $1 million or more would see an average tax reduction of $501,861.
Under Ryans House budget plan, taxpayers making $200,000 to $500,000 would see an average tax reduction of $11,089. Those making $500,000 to $1 million would see a drop of $47,040 and those making $1 million or more would see their taxes go down an average of $264,970.
The main difference between Ryan's two plans is how they treat capital gains and dividend income. His House plan preserves taxes on capital gains and dividends, while his Roadmap eliminates taxes on many forms of investment income.

(11,101 posts)How is it that so many of the ultra-rich seem to care about nothing but their own wealth? Maybe it's self explanatory; maybe most of them got to be ultra-rich by being wholly fixated on money. Maybe many of those that inherited vast sums have nothing else to validate their lives. I don't know. But it amazes me that so many rich people are so obtuse. The country is going to hell in a hand basket. It's crumbling around them. Their candidate is a tool. Yet he'll cut their taxes so he's their man. No matter what. I make a very good living and consider myself very fortunate. I'm never going to be ultra-rich, but I'm well off and can't complain, particularly since I grew up poor. That being said, cutting my taxes in order to screw everyone else is not what I'm looking for in a candidate and as my income and net worth has grown over the years that hasn't changed. Yet for most upper income bracket people that seems to be the only thing they see. It boggles the mind.
