2. From what I know of them personally the reasoning goes something like: there are those who deserve

to live and those who don't. The challenges posed by the problems caused by tax-breaks and war spending and ignoring climate change will filter out those who deserve to live from those who don't, because God will help those who deserve to live and we will know that it is God's will by the fact that they survive, so there needs be no regret for those who don't survive these challenges, because it's all part of God's plan.

It's perfectly circular reasoning. Completely self-justifying. and Absolute blasphemy.
