That's an incredibly long psychiatric hospitalization. Most people, even those who suffering psychosis, are in, stabilized and discharged in about a week. Not saying that's the way it should be, but that is the norm.

Also, I just read that he had gastric bypass surgery in 2004. I don't recall him ever being morbidly obese.
