Unfortunately, last-minute recognition of a giant Stone Temple on final approach to landing on your head isn't enough. But, at least it provided another great band name: The Stone Temple Pilots

Decaying empires make for wonderful material. You really must have a strong stomach, though.

13. Ryan is a distraction from the real Republican battle plan.

Right-wing Ryan was chosen to reassure the Republican base of Romney's loyalty to the "lunatic fringe" and motivate them to get out the vote.

The real Republican strategy is to disenfranchise enough Democratic voters (phony felon lists, restricted voting days in heavily Democratic districts, "voter ID" challenges, etc.) to get the vote counts close enough together so that hacked voting machines can flip enough votes in Republicans' favor.

Soylent Green one of Charlton Heston's flims, the republicans probably think it was a documentary.

was one of those things that woke me up. Upton Sinclair's "The Jungle", Steinbeck's "The Grapes of Wrath", and Soylent Green. I can still see this as something heading toward us.
