How long before Ryan is shaken off the face of the Etch-A-Sketch?
Seriously, this guy is toxic. If Romney's going to keep him, his campaign is going to have to keep him isolated to Fox interviews only.
Romney has picked a VP he's going to have to distance himself from.
Let's see what's been talked about today:
1. Ryan is the worst polling VP choice *in history*. Worse than Quayle, worse than Palin.
2. Ryan is extremely unpopular with elderly and could cost a serious chunk of the lead in the elderly vote held by Romney.
3. Romney could entirely lose FL as a result and had to cancel his first stop (because he was too "tired"
while they shuffled Ryan off to Iowa.
4. Romney already backpedaled from the Ryan plan on 60-minutes, just hours after the RNC chair held Romney to it.
I think Romney is planning a retroactive selection of an alternative VP candidate to make it so his selection of Ryan never happened.
