was a great president who brought us peace and prosperity during almost a decade. He connected with Americans of all socioeconomic backgrounds and had the smartest woman in American political history by his side, who should have been our current president.
A flawed character? Sure. A ladies man who made very wrong choices, but a human being after all. There are no perfect icons out there, but we should be able to recognize that Bill's consensual, extramarital activities weigh less than all the good he did for the country.
Republicans have done more to fuck up the so called family values they claim to defend.

(1,414 posts)I refuse to bend my knee to their concerns. They have chosen the worst lowlifes ever to head our government. We need not make apologies for anyone we've chosen to lead government.

(27,800 posts)I didn't agree with everything he did, and he wasn't my first choice of the slate of Democratic candidates in 1992, but my circumstances improved by a long shot when he was in office. I went from basically being poor to being middle class. Since then, it's stayed pretty flat for me economically, no big jumps like back then.

Until all of this - and more - happen to Trump, Trump and his supporters forfeit their right to even mention Bill Clinton's name - much less bring up Clinton's past behaviors; which - I'll say again - Clinton has already paid for.

(2,171 posts)Like Monica was the victim. Bill never offered her a job or anything if she had sex with him. He never pressured her to do anything. She went after him flashing her thong at him. He should not have done it but she was not innocent.

(5,914 posts)That was when you were talking about getting a consensual blow job in office. Now nobody cares about anything that you did or lied about in office, no matter how sleazy or awful, no matter if you raped people, as long as you're a Republican. If you flagrantly lie about it, the media won't care. They will just repeat your bullshit and pretend that it might not be a lie. But it it is a lie, And we all know it. Everyone.
