The Romney Trainwreck

The Romney Trainwreck

by MikeBoyScout

Not much to say here, except to say 3 days after Slick Willard's flop sweat selection of House Republican leader, Paul Ryan, makes John McCain's selection of Palin look like genius.

Today Politico and David Stockman, Saint Ronald Reagan's budget director, chime in on the pick

Three days after the most important decision Slick Willard can make as a candidate, Politico leads with GOP pros fret over Paul Ryan

In more than three dozen interviews with Republican strategists and campaign operatives — old hands and rising next-generation conservatives alike — the most common reactions to Ryan ranged from gnawing apprehension to hair-on-fire anger that Romney has practically ceded the election.

And David Stockman has an OpEd in the NYT - Paul Ryan’s Fairy-Tale Budget Plan

In short, Mr. Ryan’s plan is devoid of credible math or hard policy choices. And it couldn’t pass even if Republicans were to take the presidency and both houses of Congress. Mr. Romney and Mr. Ryan have no plan to take on Wall Street, the Fed, the military-industrial complex, social insurance or the nation’s fiscal calamity and no plan to revive capitalist prosperity — just empty sermons.

Obviously Romney's opponents would attack House Republican leader Paul Ryan.

The MSM can't just sit there and call Ryan's budget "bold" and "courageous". Because now Team Obama is going to shine a very bright spotlight on it and it will shrivel up and burn like the vampire plan it really is.

Hopefully we can get rid of it now and for all time.

the focus is now on Ryan and Republicans are rallying like bees round a honeypot. I talked to a repub yesterday and he was spouting about the overspending, can't afford Medicare and SS and how Ryan is good.

But I think people who care to listen will be especially appalled when they hear about how his plan does nothing for the deficit and adds 60 trillion dollars to the debt. I think when that sinks in we might finally get people to stop thinking that the republicans want to reduce the deficit. All they want to do is take benefit and program cut s and give the savings to the rich.

Remind people that Ryan's plan does nothing to cut the deficit.

Willard wants to lure the attention away from his tax fraud, and hopes that it will die.
