The smack-you-in-your-face truth is, Republican party *can't hold onto power without white nationalism.*
Take away hatred, xenophobia, racism & violent rhetoric against brown/LGBTQ people - what's left?
Grover's tax cuts and Pete Peterson's deficit obsession. But no voters.
This is true & I haven't seen it discussed enough. If the GOP ditched white nationalism & focused on the allegedly more noble Kaisch-style "fiscal conservatism" ... it would lose every election, forever. There is no electorally viable conservatism without racism.

Conservative = holding to traditional attitudes and values and cautious about change or innovation, typically in relation to politics or religion.
They are radicals.
