8. I think he's trying to make up for lost time.

The news cycle wasn't in his favor the last couple weeks due to the distractions and tragedies his evil rhetoric created in the first place. He was practically begging M$M to talk about his caravan nonsense while all the attention was on the bomber and then the Pittsburgh murders. While everyone else grieves, for him and his deplorables its a mere inconvenience to his evil election tactics and so now he's doubling his effort to seize the news cycle for his narratives right before the election.
