I heard this appalling ad on the radio the other day.

I was in my car the other day when a radio ad came on for Bill Johnson. He's a Republican. He isn't my rep, (thank goodness), he's the rep in the next district to the south -- Ohio 6th -- a strange shape of a district that hugs the southeastern Ohio border along the river. You might say it's very Appalachian down there. He's been the rep there since 2011.

Anyway, the commercial was made to sound like a man and a woman talking. I didn't hear it from the beginning, and I can't remember the exact wording, but it went something like this ..... the man was saying "thousands and thousands of illegal immigrants pouring across our borders taking away good jobs and benefits from American workers!" "Yes, yes, my husband works hard, and why should he lose his job to someone who isn't even American?" the woman says. Then the man says, "And, I'm SURE, that as a stay-at-home mom, you don't want to have illegals roaming around in your neighborhood!" "Oh, no, as a stay at home mom, I am definitely worried about illegal immigrants!" I couldn't f----ing believe this shit! I almost went off the road! They don't even try to hide their racism any more! And this guy is an Air Force veteran!
