Just turning several hundred votes the right direction in the last few days can make a major difference in a close election.

a very active campaigner, so hopefully she does have a well-developed email list.

Notably, Sinema was a Green Partier when she first entered politics. In the AZ legislature, she's apparently developed a centrist voting record, but her opponent is using her prior Green Party affiliation to cast her as a wingnut. So far Sinema hasn't commented.

Fingers crossed for her. And us.

... also withdraw? The one who's campaign fund raiser/treasure/don-r remember withdrew, saying it would be a disaster for <the state I can't remember> if the GOP candidate won. Was it Kansas? It was one of those square states. Can anyone help my brain?

This is an excellent model for 3rd party candidates. Run as hard as you can, collect supporters, develop a base, but withdraw before you do something like give Maine someone like Paul LePage for governor.

We have both a Green who is clearly acting as a spoiler - and has a history of being a deliberate gadfly - and a "celebrity" independent. CD 19 is a very tight election, and they could tilt the election by even a few hundred votes, saddling us with John Fas(o)cist for 2 more years.
