Interesting experience - this was at about 2:00 in the afternoon, and there was a line at the desk the whole time I was there, ranging from 12 to 20 (I counted).
The process of getting confirmed for an absentee ballot was a snap - it took about one minute, with my ID and signature enough to start the process.
Waiting to actually vote, though, took about 15 minutes, since the space available was completely full. And at least five people ahead of me, and three behind me were waiting for space so that they could use paper ballots (NOT electronic systems).
As it turned out, a lady I worked with years ago works at the Election Bureau, and we spent an enjoyable quarter-hour catching up on mutual acquaintances and her family. I also asked what it's been like lately and she said that it's been like this for weeks now.
The lady who handed me my paper ballot apologized for the delay. "No problem", says I: "It's worth it." She just grinned . . .
Go Claire!

(664 posts)Website says it closes at noon! Also, other voters said Brush Creek and Center High School Absentee Voting locations have really long lines - Union Station has shorter line!
Aldo, Union Station validates parking if you park in the garage to the west of Union Station!

(135 posts)Voted around lunch time, and it was 45-60 min wait. Someone also said that when I was there that this was the shortest line it has been this week.
Chalk another vote for Claire!!
