FLIPPABLE: Betsy Londrigan for IL 13th. Essentially a TIED race in the polls..

I just received an email from my rep, Jan Schakowsky, asking for a donation to support “Betsy Dirksen Londrigan who is running to flip Illinois’ 13th Congressional District. I need her in Washington with me to stand up for the needs of Illinoisans and expand opportunity in our state.”

When I voted this week, I walked out thinking how much I love being able to vote for Jan Schakowsky who is a consistent progressive and hardworking. Also this week, I was thinking I wanted to send her a thank you email for her position on stopping Saudi bombing in Yemen, when I read here on DU that she was on a list of cosponsors of that bill. Her positions are always humane and just.

And since I got this email today, I took the time to look up the polls on Betsy Londrigan, because if Jan Schakowsky is asking for my attention, she is going to get it. And I found this very recent article saying that Betsy Londrigan is only ONE PERCENT away from the incumbent Republican Rodney Davis. Rodney Davis is a guy who brought in Pence for his support..uggh.

So it’s not a waste of money. I sent in $30 to help her GOTV. Here’s a link or two if you want to do the same. The first link goes through Schakowsky, the second is direct to the Londrigan campaign.

2. we have been working directly on Betsy's campaign from the moment she won the primary which

btw, she was no way favored to do and cruised to an easy win. Rodney Davis is a typical lying SOB republican who is too afraid to do townhalls because he can not control the questions or the participants, so he doesn't hold any. THe big GOP outside PACS been coming into this race big time. Our hope is on the ground game that Betsy and all the democratic county committees have under way. So far, in a heavy urban neighborhood where we live, ZERO canvassers for Davis and we have had our door knock on 3 times in past 4 weeks.

Betsy has called him a liar to his face on the debate stage and you see how much he wants to call her a f*cking b*tch on his face.

He has NEVER held a real job, except working in his fathers McDonalds during high school and college breaks
