On Tuesday, as you watch election returns, please remember

that we will lose a few close races that we hoped to win. Keep your eyes on the seat count, not on individual races. We will also win some seats that will surprise some people.

It is not individual districts that will decide who controls the House and, maybe, the Senate. It is all of the seats and who wins them. So, don't lose heart if someone you hoped would win loses. That's going to happen in some cases. Watch the total seat count. That's where the story will be.

1. Agree with your post, but it is disappointing that GOPers will win any seat in this environment.

It's hard to accept that there are many areas in this country where the majority of voters are vile haters, white nationalists, and probably worse.
