Trump claims a majority of undocumented immigrants skip their court dates. Here are the facts.

President Donald Trump made an outrageous claim during a Thursday afternoon briefing on immigration. His assertion: Only 3 percent of undocumented immigrants released while their asylum cases are pending ever show up for their court hearing.

“We’re not letting them into our country, and they never show up. Almost like a level of 3 percent,” the president said Thursday. “They never show up for the trial, so by the time their trial comes, they are gone.”

Wrong. The government’s own data even proves that statement is incorrect. According to a Justice Department report from the Executive Office For Immigration Review, in 2017 that number was actually 89 percent, and has consistently remained high. In 2016 it was 91 percent and from 2014 to 2015, it was higher than 93 percent.

This data is also backed up by the American Immigration Council, which concluded that from 2001 to 2016, 90 percent of asylum-seeking families show up at the courthouse. Even the Republican-friendly Center For Immigration Studies concedes that these families consistently follow the rules and meet their court dates.

And the immigrants don't give false testimony in depositions, like you have asshole, and they don't defraud a state in taxes to the tune of 400 million dollars.....................like your family has............so your one to talk...............

of a hypocrite he really is...................immigrants aren't defrauding the government.................he is......

I go to Think Progress and others, because they don't have a pay wall, they ask for donations, I give what I can, I consider them and others more reliable

4. I have always looked at myself that my principals are more important than a company

I worked in aviation for over 25 years, and if some person asked me to do something that was against my principle's and safety to the public and how to perform a procedure that was laid out by the rules to which I was pledged to uphold, and if they wanted me to do otherwise, I told them no, you do it, and you sign off the log book, and if you do it, I would call the FAA......my primary number one concern was that plane was safe and the passengers got from point A to B end of story, no middle ground .............the media should call this hypocrite out in his next news conference and tell him he is a LIAR.................it is there job to protect the public principles of truth................not to aid and give comfort to a LIAR and his cronies..........

He wants to take there constitutional right to have free press from them and from us.............I just don't get it, every time he says this stuff, the commentator should say, by the way this man and his family defrauded the government, you and me out of 400 million dollars in taxes, and he has lied during dispositions................his actions are based on LIES, our facts are based on truth.............
