It's fucking tragic to see just how far this country has fallen because of that orange thing that's currently infesting the White House.
God, how I miss MY President...

(34,362 posts)History will confirm that Barack Obama was one of the Greats; that thing currently infesting the White House will be tossed into the dustbin of history as one of the most destructive things to ever inflict America. He has everything in the world that anyone could possibly want, yet he's a small, hateful, spiteful, petty, mean-spirited, bigoted, miserable old man. Seriously, I can't imagine how much it must suck to be him, but he's earned every lousy moment of it.

(33,312 posts)On election night, 2016, after it was 'called', my wife's first comment was, "No! That thing can't be elected president. Can it?" I stole her designation without shame -- that thing in our White House. Before 2016, she never read or watched any news. Since, she keeps up with Rachel, DU, and a dozen other places every day. I'm hoping the midterms reveal that a great many people woke to the fact that elections matter because of "that thing".
