IMHO I truly believe people want a system of checks and balances back in this country. On Twitter there are a lot of people who were Rs and voting Dem. If they are fake, there are a hell of a lot of them playing tricks. But then you have to look at Nicole Wallace, Steve Schmidt, David Frum, Bill Kristol, etc. That tells the story. They swallow their Repug pride and vote for the better of the country.

23. It "used" to be that I would at least look at the (R)s for some moderates

and vote according to who I thought was the best candidate - D or R or otherwise.

The last 10 years have seen a weeding out of any open-minded moderate republicans so it's been harder to find qualified ones. Independents and progressives have generally been possible alternates.

This rot really seemed to start in the Gingrich time-frame altho I'm sure the hard RW puppet-masters have been working a lot longer.

Now, I would not give a single (R) a vote, local or state or national. They have allowed themselves to be sold a fake bill of goods. I hope it takes them a century to recover. And I hope that moderates and liberals can govern effectively, for the people and by the people.
