Trump Preps Election Day Spin: We Saved The Senate!

President Trump is known as something of a distractor-in-chief, so his plan to spin any Election Day losses doesn’t come as much of a surprise.

Should Democrats manage to retake the House, he and his White House allies will simply focus on Republicans’ hold on the Senate, Politico reported Friday.

Trumpworld’s plan is to frame the President as the savior of the Senate, avoiding any talk of voter backlash against Trump’s agenda or divisive rhetoric.

“If the president picks up Senate seats, they’ll be no honest people talking about a ‘blue wave,’” Trump booster and American Conservative Union chairman Matt Schlapp told Politico.

Trump has already made the midterms a referendum on his own administration, telling Republican voters that a vote for their local candidate is, essentially, a vote for him. But he’s also insisted he won’t accept any blame if the GOP loses ground on Tuesday.
