Politico did an article a little over a week ago about the Trump campaign planning on using text messaging to get around what they see as a bias on social media platforms:

But judging by the tweets I'm seeing, a lot of people who are NOT Trump supporters and did not give the campaign their contact info are getting texts inviting them to rallies and telling them to vote for Trump.

(23,295 posts)if that orange a-hole had my phone number. Can you imagine??? I was incredibly relieved that I did not even receive the Presidential Alert. Neither did anybody in my family nor my friends got it either. I wonder if the Dotard can be blocked?

Another item for House Democrats to investigate.

(146,255 posts)More likely, they're using the usual process of dialing through all the numbers for individual three-digit cellular prefixes. My cell phone number is 295-nnnn in my area code.
A computer can dial all 10,000 possible combinations and send texts to them in no time through a VOIP connection.
It's a no-brainer, really.
