Breaking even, no net loss of seats is a win.

Winning the House is good, and it will happen.

And bunches of governors and state legislatures which as important. A great midterm is 60 house seat, net gain of 2 senate seats and the governors and state legislatures galore,

This is a historic midterm or otherwise election where democrats are pissed.

but I don't expect that we will get the Senate till '20.

Majority in the House gives us control of the committees. Any majority will make me happy, the bigger the better.

Don't forget about the states!! That's where we stop gerrymandering and voter suppression, which makes winning future elections a lot easier.
