And the telephone calls. We have a landline. We voted more than a week ago. We are getting multiple robocalls every day from the Republican gubernatorial candidate.

I will be so glad when this is over, for more than one reason.

According to McConnell money equals speech so now billionaires are free to spend millions buying all television spots and thereby buying government. Not only are the ads constant, but they also contain lies and slander of the worst kind. Rarely does an ad tout the virtue of the candidate or how the candidate will improve our government and society.

We’ve been awash in ads for FL AND AL because we live near the border between the two states. All day, every day. But that all stops shortly. Then we can go back to car dealerships and the local heating and air conditioning companies. What a relief that will be.

but I was out yesterday having a late lunch and the TV was showing the Florida-Missouri game on the SEC network. The political ads against Bredesen, Gillum, and McCaskill were so ugly and vile - it was upsetting to know that many will believe the ads without checking the facts. I hope this last ditch effort with the negativity backfires.

that there is no room for any other kind of ad. Even school board elections are awash in money.
