Five key differences between House candidates Don Bacon and Kara Eastman

The candidates in the Omaha area’s 2nd Congressional District, Kara Eastman and Don Bacon, have dramatically different visions for the country.

Republican Congressman Don Bacon, a retired Air Force brigadier general, has been a reliable GOP vote and wants to continue his focus on military issues.

Eastman, a Democrat and former nonprofit executive, belongs to a wing that wants to push the party to the left, particularly on economic issues.

Here are some of the biggest differences between the two appearing on Tuesday’s ballot:
