I'm going to say something nice about Michael Steele.

He's quite the snappy dresser. A handsome man, he always looks dapper and totally put together.

He also seems happier now that he's not running the show over the RNC.

This was inspired by my watching MSNBC after a near total avoidance over the last many months.

They had a big year under his watch, but they got rid of him anyway. I think he just did not fit their image.

He was my Lt Guv for too many years before you probably ever heard of him.

He was the right wing dirty trix man to our former Nazi governor, who remained above the fray.

I guess the rest of us are fucked. Our opinions are just peripheral if we can't get our suits tailored in London. Shit, I actually thought I had something to say but I couldn't afford the wardrobe. Silly me.

Steele NEVER was running the show when he was the "head" of the GOP...He was Repug central's answer to Obama plain and simple.

when Michael Steele is on. I also have the feeling I would like him personally, just not his politics. He seems like he has a soft side.

Edit: Thanks Baldguy!! I didn't see your pic before I posted! LOL!

But knowing him from local politics, I'm not sure he's as nice a guy as he seems. And his politics are anathema!

I can enjoy a beer with just about anyone, so long as they're capable of having a civil conversation. I have a number of Republican friends and we get along fine. It's just when they start spewing their bone-headed, logic-impaired, cognitive-disassociative ideologies that I have to grab my ears to stop my brain from bleeding.

Which is all I said in the op. To wit:

He dresses well.

He is a handsome man.

He seems happier now that he has a teevee gig.

What's wrong with saying that?

I want to say something nice about the RNC. By hiring Steele, they demonstrated a laudable tolerance for two different colored minorities. You see, Steele isn't only black, he's also a total maroon.

He was / is a money grubber.... he was collecting a salary from RNC and breaking all the rules collecting high speaker's fees and accepting gifts at same tome. Now he's a pundit collecting $$$ from 2-3 other "jobs". I'd look nice too if I was raking in that type of cash!
